What engine are they for? Those hoses with expanded ends and necked down middles aren't ideal for cut to fit applications like dropping a 24v into an e30. After you cut them to length they don't fit over the rad or the thermo housing etc.
They expand to fit over the fittings just like a rubber hose would. They are flared because they have less give than a standard rubber hose would. Makes sense since that's why people buy them. They are for an e36 and 24v motors, and people have used silicone hoses for e36's before with their swaps.
I know what you're talking about and would not post them here in the 24v section if people hadn't had hoses like these work with their swaps before.
What made you think that they are "cut to fit applications" because I have never seen or heard of cut to fit applications with silicone hoses.
