    s52 e30 without odb1 Conversion

So I've been doing a lot of research and searching the forums on how to do the 24v swap but there is one thing I haven't been able to find a straight forward answer on so I'm asking the question.

If I find a find a motor, trans, electronics from a 96-99 M3 can I use it on my e30? If i were to use the s50/m50 engine swap wire harness adapter would it still work or am I missing something? If it doesn't work does anyone know what I need?

All I want to do is install the s52 stuff into an e30 and drive off. Can I do that?

The only reason I ask is that it seems much easier to find a s52 than it does an s50 and just want to make sure I'm going to do the right thing when I do the swap.

How is it more work than an OBDI conversion? I thought it was pretty straightforward when I put my OBDII m52 in my e30. As long as you have all the necessary components and wiring I think OBDII is fairly easy. Cheaper too since you don't have to buy all the OBDI sensors and stuff to convert to OBDI.

if you get a ews delete I think fucking with that is to much IMO. that made me skip a OBDII set up.

Doesnt it cost a bit ( more than a chip for a obdI delete) to get it flashed out? Or dont you have the have the key and other shit.

I think swaping harnnes and a few sensors is easy costs more yea.

^^ what he said. it's so easy to swap out all the sensors and whatnot once the engine is pulled. Then you don't hAve to worry about (someone correct me of I'm wrong) keeping the same ignition/ecu/ews from the e36. And plus the m50 manifold is an awesome easy upgrade.
