    M42 a/c compressor on a 24v swap?

Hmmm, searchy searchy but no findy.

Has anyone did the 24v swap on a 318is and was able to keep the A/C compressor or swap the pulley somehow? I do live in texas and R12 is getting harder to find and I'd rather not open up a completely perfect and breezy A/C.

    Any info? thoughts? Preeeesh!

You would still need the 24v compressor. You can reuse the lines I believe but you'd still have to crack open the system.
        Need a part? PM me.

I used the 318is lines and e36 compressor.

I have a '91 318i and I was assuming I'd have to ditch a/c until I can run custom lines and convert to R134a. I haven't chopped up the lines yet, are you guys saying I can hook up the E36 (S50) compressor, get the system charged with R12, and it will work out?

Whats stopping you from running the stock lines with the 24v compressor and r12? I figure you can run r134a in a r12 system so why not vice versa?

V belt vs serpentine belt. You will need to change the clutch assembly but according to realoem the late model variant of the 318 was the only car to use that compressor for BMW.
