this swap is still in the early planning stages. As it stands right now, she wants a different car altogether, so I may get my wish with a 5 speed. Mostly depends on getting her some wheels cheap enough that I can get a donor car as well. As for the autotragic, I may do the E36 thing with theirs (god I fucking hate GM trannys though), or I could also get a land rover pan/pickup, as they have a different sump design that wouldnt be bothered by a 10 degree change. Ground clearance could be an issue with this setup however.... The hunt continues

MY e36 5 speed auto was a ZF germany unit.

you can get them v inexpensively!!!

E36 m3. Zf Hp 518 auto, 5 speed with overdrive. Comes in 96-99 e36m with s52, get the engine too and stuff the whole bugger in!!

With 4.10 final it's Faster than a stock e36m 5mt.
