Finishing up my M50 swap need some help!!!

My engine is installed finally after a year of patience and buying parts, it started and everything seem's normal. Whe have one little problem that whe did not figure out yet. I have a thermostat for the throttle body that whe dont know where it goes. My engine is a 1994 325is. Whe checked everywhere on the engine. Where thinking that this was used on the original air box wich i dont have since i'm using a pflow. It's connected with both pipes and hagging in the engine bay. I would like to have someone's opinion that had this experience.

Yeah, thats the air intake temperature sensor. It mounts to the airbox. I just have mine zip-tied undereath my cone filter.

There's nothing wrong with zip ties.

It gets pretty cold up here in the winter so I kept the thing operational.

I bypassed the one on mine. Hopefully wont effect the heating since it gets cold up here in NH. However that is what winter beaters are for

I also had mine ziptied. but it looked stupid because.. so on the back of my cone filter i drilled a hole in the rubber part and stuck it in there (on the bottom out of sight) and it stays put. my car ran actualy ran a little smoother..? or am i on drugs

when we say "bypass"... are we just using a U shaped pipe to connect the two hoses going to it?
