I know you have to use some sort of remote brake reservior. I do not think that you need to bend new brake lines. Maybe someone else can chime in.

You don't have to get new lines and you can bend the old ones. This isn't the greatest choice because the old ones can break or pinch if you don't bend them carefully.
It would be best to get custom SS lines in there and it might look abit cleaner as well. The choice is yours.
I used the IX booster in my swap. I picked up 90 degree elbows and put those in place of where the booster sits in the master cylinder. From there I mounted the original resevoir to my air box bracket.
I made a custom bracket to hold the resevoir and ran lines between the two. Worked well and was fairly easy and effective.
I picked the elbows up from an auto parts store locally. Had to grind down some of the plastic to make them fit properly. Used the original rubber grommits, the hard part is finding a rubber line to run between the two that can withstand brake fluid. There is a company that produces a clear nylon type line that is suitable for that purpose. Won't find it at Auto Zone or VIP go to a parts distributer or search the web.
yeah I am stuck on this too. Anyone who did the IX booster can you tell me where you got the parts for the remote MC? Also, if you made your own can you go into some details?
Why can't you use the E34 540 reservoir? I'll guess its too big??

It would be hard to find a place for that but it would work with some modifying. And it looks like it will hold a good amount of fluid.
