    Another bad idle problem

    OK so my m50 swap idles like shit. It wont stay steady and i have a code 1263 when i do the stomp test which is for the purge valve. Well ive been looking for about a half hour now and cant find one on my car or even a plug for it to plug into. Would someone be willing to post pics of their purge valve and the plug from the harness?

    Also i have driven around with my gas cap off for a while to make sure its not pulling vacuum in my tank and it makes no change to my idle. Other than that the car runs like a champ with great throttle response. I will be pulling my icv to clean it later but im more worried about the purge valve problem at the moment. Any help is greatly appreciated.

    P.S. I have searched and found a diagram of the purge valve on realoem but i still cant find a plug for the valve to plug into.

    The purge valve connector is in the loom associated with the hfm plug. Back track that plug and you should find a two wire plug. That plug connects to the purge valve that connects to the vacuum connector under the throttle body (the one between the bracket for the throttle cable). Idle is probably bad because of that giant vacuum leak.

      Should be between the Tb and the charcoal cannister. As mentioned, if nothing it there then thats your problem. BTW its the pipe coming out of the TB closest to the firewall.

        Ya so i need a purge valve, nothing is there. Good news is i found the plug. There is no vacuum leak. I have the hose going straight to the charcoal canister with no purge valve inline.
