m50 Swap not running, popping fuse 9 (ignition electronics)

    Hey guys,

I've got a 92 m50nv in my 89 325is. I have no fuel or spark. If I jump the fuel pump relay I can get the pump to run.

Anyways, I was going through the plugs on the fuse box side of my wiring harness adapter and probed pin number 21 which is supposed to control power from the ignition switch to the DME. It showed 0 volts, but fuse 9 (ignition electronics) popped. I swapped out the fuse a few more times and had the same result. This makes me think that there's a short or something. I feel like if I can isolate the problem I can finally fix my problem. Let me know if you have an insight. Thanks!! 8-)

Don;t know where short is coming from or it is just to small of amprage???? Check your Crand and Cam Postion sensors for rite ohms / bad plugs. GL

Do you know what ohm range the crank and cam sensors should be in. I've looked for it everywhere and keep seeing conflicting stuff. I think my crank sensor was like 1335 and my cam sensor was somewhere around 530.

I'm about to follow my ignition switch wiring through the firewall and see if it looks damaged at all.
