    Sleeving m50b25 block

    Hi.
    I'm going to stroke m50b25 to 3L with m54 crank and pistons.
    The checking of the engine block shows it was bored to 2 repair size is 84,5mm. So the result is lost compression.
    The motorist says need sleeving the block to piston size or change it(no garantee another used block will be the same).
    What can you advise sleeving or changing the block?
    Thnx.

      No sleeving recommended factory.

      if your block can be bored (not an alloy) then you can change to OEM S52 pistons or aftermarket for s52.
      piston bore size is 86.4mm. keep the M54b30 crankshaft and rods.

      s52 = m54b30 pistons but BIG :) so you get 3200cc.

      s52 is m54b30 with large pistons. same crankshaft unit and connecting rods.

        If you use an m50 block you do not need to re sleeve the block to fit s52 pistons. You can just bore and hone it tothe correct size.
