so i checked th ETM's again and i came up with this...

Check Engine Light pin for c101 is pin#12. according to the ETM's... from the Check engine Indicator it is a GN/WT wire that goes into a "Diode" then it becomes a Grey wire. The x20 pin for CEL is pin#8 which according to the ETM's is a GR wire.

Am i supposed to use the GN/WT wire or the grey wire on c101? Its unfortunate i cant really take a look at my wiring right now because im not with the car, but any advice on this problem is greatly appreciated. I'd really like to get this thing going.

From all the harnesses I have seen it has been a gray wire. But I have not seen all the harnesses.

use the one @ x20. Make that the ground for your light and feed it with a 12V from a switched power somewhere.
