    e30 struggles to start

so my m50b25 swap has been done.
but now my car struggles to start, ive gotten alternator checked twice and batter as well.
i have the cables from alternator routed this way, alternator from there cable to starter, from there cable to battery post.
i didnt use the e36's cable that splits from battery post to alternator and other to starter.
could this be the issue that my battery isnt getting charged?
or could it be that my starter is getting weaker? (if thats possible)
i really need help with this, its going to be my DD.
    All help is appreciated. thanks!

Still can't get any help from your friends from AZBMW? I see you posted your problems there but no one is answering.

You need a volt meter to start. Check back in when you have one.

Read the voltage on the battery while the car is running and the car off.
      Past Car : E30 S50 6 Speed 5 Lug 3.73
Current : Z3 S50 OBD2 (Smog Legal) 6 Speed BBS RN Dual Ear Diff

got the issue fixed at one of my local forum meets, we test the voltage on battery while car off. cranking voltage, pin25/1, everything checked out, until one of my buddies asked if i grounded the engine correctly, he had just gotten his oil pan powder coated and he wasn't getting a good ground, so we got my jumper cables and did a quick ground, and that was it, ive grounded the engine with the passenger side e36 mount arm. no problems, just passed emissions today.
