M50 NV Auto Harness Help NEEDED!

    Hey,

Ok so I figured out the wiring that I need to do for the harness. I chopped the c101 and x20 off, used a multi meter and wrote down the pins and colors then went through the ETM's and figure out the functions. I'm going to wire tonight or tomorrow.

My new questions are about a few wires. Some are grounds, some come off the alt and some go to the batter and starter but I don't know what goes where. I tried searching and everyone seems to have different questions and the ETM for this stuff is impossible to find, at least for me. I REALLY appreciate any and all help. I have a day and a half left to finish this before I have to head back to work, 800km away from here. So let's start

It's an auto harness from a 1992 m50 nv. I'm not sure what these are so I'll list where they are and see if you guys can help.

    Two wires on drivers side

Wire on drivers side, I think from the battery, does this go to the starter?

Wire from the alt, to the starter or somewhere else?

    Two wires from the harness

Three wires on passenger side, one red (I think same as in picture 1) and two black

    Help greatly appreciated!
    Cheers,
    Aaron

Also another question, when looking at the E30 ETM it shows some c101's with a different color wire on either side of the pin #. For example:

    -----WT/GN----->c101-12->-----WT/BU-------

So c101 plug, pin 12 and one side is white green and the other is white blue, what color should I be looking at, where the signal is coming from or going towards?

im quite sure all those wires meet up at the starter.

I thought the starter would only have two, three max?

One of those would have powered the E36 fuse box. E30 fuse box has its own power wire, so you can delete it.

One big wire from the B+ post to the start, one from the starter(same terminal...) to the alternator(wire in the last pic).

All the wires near the B post on the engine harness you will need to cut the black wrap back to see their colors. Any brown ones ground to the body, any red ones can be attached to the B+ post

I'm terrible with wires sorry. Thank you VERY much for the post MattM

So The big red wire in picture one is the e36 fuse box, that's will go.
The black wire in the second picture goes to the starter, and then the red wire from the alt on the same terminal. Sweet!

That leaves the two black wires in the 4th picture. Any ideas?

should only be 2 wires coming off the alternator

the small black wire off the alternator goes to pin 25 of the x20.

the big red one off the alternator goes to the starter and shares the same post as the main power lead(in essence connecting it directly to the B+ post)
