This might help with the idle problem.

small compact rear wheel drive cars are a huge hit in puerto rico. Five years ago I was selling 1970 datsun 1200 on craigslist here in AZ and I had many people call me from puerto rico asking me if I am willing to ship it there.

for some reason the eta tach reads good but none of the other clusters i have read any rpm.

the car runs smoothly when cold but at about 15 to 20 minutes it starts cutting at about 3,000 like in the video

i just dont know where to look anymore ;\

got the idle and surge problem resolved... bad connections with the speed signal and tach...

i found a m50tu for a steal price and i bought it, im in the middle of converting my m50nv to vanos... (i will stroke it to 2.8 or 3.0 later)

i already swaped: filter tower, toothwheel, cams (s50) and installed harness and all the bits involved but i have 1 question, i know that the CAM sensor between the NV and VANOS engine have different plugs but it is just the plug difference or the wiring itself?

i can see RED/WT on pos #2 in the NV sensor and same cable on pos #1 on the VANOS wiring... can i swap the male plug on the vanos harness with the old NV female plug or the cam sensor has different shielding or wiring?

as the m50tu didn't came with the cam sensor i thought that changing the plug was the best option or spending the almost $100 in that sensor?

            what do you think?
