Well, I'm an idiot. The VSS wasn't connected and the chip manufacturer confirmed that it needs to be connected. HOWEVER, I pulled my engine to swap my clutch and steering rack and when everything was reinstalled, I deliberately left the VSS disconnected to do some before and after accelleration test. With the VSS disconnected, it would rev to 7K! I reconnected the VSS and saw no difference in performance. I can't tell if the engine is running better or not but I did come in fourth out of 45 in Sunday's autocross. Power was not a problem Getting power to the ground was. Even with R comps, I had to be careful with the throttle to keep the back end from breaking loose.
Dies at full throttle
