    Pulling codes obd1 M52?

I've tried the 5 thottle stomps several times with differing tempos, with the key on for a couple seconds, key on for a split second etc etc and no codes.
The engine light is on most of the time and definately runs/sounds worse when its on and I'd really like to get it sorted.

Is there any other way to pull the codes?

Look forward to any advice offered, thanks in advance.

Read the codes out with a scan tool.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

what jim said, if you can get a hold of a peake tool, it'll be a huge help; provided you have a switched 12v source to pin 16 on the diagnostic port to power up the tool...

Take the + Lead of your DMM on put it on the +12V distro block.
Take the - lead and put it to the CEL wire either in the X6000 connector or @ the X20 connector.

Turn your DMM on DC 20V. When its 12V, light is on. When its 0V. Light is off.

        Do the stomp test again.

Also make sure you have a good working TPS or the stomp test wont work.

Thanks,I was hoping for a different throttle press trick or something.:)

I found and bought a used peake tool off e-bay,hopefully that works.

          Thanks again.

If the Peake tool doesn't power up there is a thread on here with FredK talking about what you need to do to make it work.

Thanks for the heads up,I'll search that out for the info before I get the tool.
