    Need Radiator Hose advice! Help!

    Hello everyone,
I purchased this radiator on ebay while I was out of town. It arrived and looks awesome, however I cant figure out which hoses to use. I have a91 318is with an m50. I dont mind fabbing but any hose advice would be great. Also, is it really meant to be oriented in the way the picture shows? The pipe coming out at a 90 degree, not the 45 degree, has a long male nipple next to it. Thanks for the help. This is my first time doing a radiator swap. I thought this would be plun-n-play but I guees not. Want to install tonight. Thanks everyone.

What I was trying to point out about the nipple and orientation is that shouldnt that nipple be on the driver side top to go the overflow tank? If so, I need to have a hose that does almost a full curl in order to reach that 45deg pipe, or a hose with a crazy-tight S curve.

Did you check to see if that radiator will even fit in the spot it's supposed to go in, or if hoses will even reach properly to those locations from the M50 water pump?

I've never heard of that brand, or of anyone using it with a 24V swap.

When I bought the car, only last week, it didnt have a radiator and the mounts were are bent up so I figure I will be fabbing up something somewhat custom. The listing for the radiator stated it was for e30s, and I had a few people tell me any e30 (late model) radiator would work. Getting it in there isnt an issue, it is the hoses.

E36 hoses..go to advance auto, they have them..you may have to trim the top a little..actually ask for the e34 top hose from a 5 series.that should do the trick

The top hose seems to be fine, but the bottom hose (driver side is the issue). help me out on the orientation. The photo given is upside down, right?... This would mean the higher of the two hoses is on the passenger side. Is this an issue? This radiator really has me confused.

Looks the same to me, too. You want the radiator for an M42.

Am I the only one who sees a problem with this radiator?? The inlet and outlet on the same side, for example?? This is going to be a major pain to hook up to an M50, and yes, your going to need some crazy "S" hose.

                      Exactly,
How does everyone else hook it up? Can't find anyone with the same problem

                        Return the radiator.
It is for the E30 M3 S14 Engine.
You want one for an M42(integral expansion tank) or an M20 late.
                        Or do an S14 swap.
Running extra lengths of sliced'n'spliced hoses is asking for trouble.
