Morning,
I drove to Phoenix two nights ago, from San Diego, and my S52 swapped E30 got 28.7 mpg. Which is higher than any other swap I have personally dealt with.
Now, I took it to AZ emissions yesterday after replacing the spark plugs and makin sure it was nice and hot. I had high hopes that it would pass with flying colors just because of how good the gas mileage is.
It didnt. It failed horribly. The numbers are listed below.
Test pollutant - my vehicles emissions - maximum standard
hydrocarbons - 2.19 - 1.00
carbon monoxide - 13.37 - 12.00
Nitrogen - 7.26 - 2.50
I have just a few days to reprimand this situation. I am doing a lot of research on my own behalf, but I wanted to make a thread specific to me.
Any and all advice would be appreciated.
