    m50b20nv cams on m50b25nv

Im in the process of swapping a m50 in my e30 and am building the motor, I was planning on doing the s50 cam setup, BUT now I have some questions. I have some extra cams from a m50b20nv and according to cat cams they are 255/245 which seems to be more aggressive than s50 252/240... Has anyone else used the b20 cams on the b25?

Interesting fact. I wouldn't surprised that the b20 cams are more aggressive than the s50. Maybe because the b20 motors don't have the torque of the b25 b28 so the aggressive cams could make up for it in the upper rev ranges.

Im gonna run these cams and see how they perform, I know its not much more aggressive than the s50 cams, but hey it is a bit more and I already have them.

will I have to set the timing differently than the stock m50 cams?

Let us know how you go.

Would also be interesting to see whether 320i VANOS (M50TU) cams are different to 325i M50TU cams.
