    e30 m3 cluster (s14) in an s52 swap.

does anybody know the proper wiring/process that i'd need to go through in order to get an e30 m3 cluster to accurately display readings?

from what i've searched it says i need an e28 m5 coding plug but it will still read 1k higher on the tach. any help would be greatly appreciated!

I have a e30 m3 cluster and used the e28 M5 coding plug to fix the tach reading. I had to remove the cricuit board from the coding plug housing and plug that into the cluster. But this gave me a correct RPM reading. Also have the Turner motorsport oil temp sensor wired into the oil level sensor spot for oil temp reading in the cluster.

thank you for the reply sir, so the e28 m5 coding plug is pretty much plug n play for an accurate cluster? would i need to do any other wiring? thank you!

My M3 cluster is in a M3 with a S52. And i had to run a wire to the oil temp sensor for that to work. But yes i think it would be plug and play for a standard e30 with the correct coding plug to fix the rpm gauge.

I wish E30 M3 clusters didn't cost three goats, 20 hectares of land and a daughter.

If you wish to retain the ABS, you'll have to wire in a relay and power the ABS off the main relay..

                Nothin but the ABS noid.

It is a specific mod if the recipient is an E30 M3.
