    code relay wiring

Ok, getting the final wiring done on the swap today, and have a quick Q

the code relay wiring that goes to the DME, in my case its a green wire on pin 2 of the c104 in th eglovebox. does this need to be connected to the new E36 DME for functionality? (car starting, dont care if the code relay works)

if so, does anyone know offhand what pin it goes to?

A couple of hours in the ETM doesnt sound like fun, if the system cannot or does not need to be connected

AFAIK, if you do not connect the code system, it won't WORK, but the car will run. My car(s) work that way, anyways (all late cars, for reference, 90/91).
