So last thursday I was driving back from Bellevue and I stopped in Centralia for dinner and as I was leaving the car just quit and would not start at all. It would crank and crank but nothing.
Trailered it home and started digging into it.
First things I tried were all the relays and the CPS.
Next I noticed that my rad had shifted and my water pump was contacting the wires to my electric fan. I think this may have been the culprit because now my electric fan does not work and its clear that the water pump chewed though both of the wires to it probably shorting it out.
Here is the tricky part. The fan is wired to switched power from the automatic tranny plug. It seems like something is preventing the main fuel pump from turning on and its probably related to the short going to the auto tranny plug.
(the electric fan wiring was done by Munich motorworks not me)
I am at a little bit of a loss right now so any input would be greatly appreciated.
Car is an 87 "i" with a 95 M50.
