        I believe M3PO is referring to the data port (big round plug with a cap on it) that is built into your engine harness and not the OBD port you are probably referring to.

                If I remember correctly there was a wire to the e30 diagnostic port that was not wired correctly and spit the code out. I bought the car already swapped and my friend fixed it. I dont think he is into e30s anymore or on the forum. If I am not mistaken it was wire 22 or 23 and purple, im not sure
