Ok so I bought a scan tool from e-bay,supposed to work with all bmw's from 1987-2000 being an R5/fcx-3.
The weird part is that it has the correct labels to be the above tool but it has the rectangular plug for obd2,its not an adapter as its part of the tool and can't be removed.
When I look it up on the peake tool site it show what I have with no adapter and with adapter,not a permanent connector so what gives?.
I'd very much like to find the source of the cel in my obd1 m52 car,throttle stomps not working hence the purchase of the tool.
