    wiring harness

Hey guys, I need to pick up a new harness for my S52 motor. I'm swtiching over to OBDI, will any E36 M3 wiring harness do (92-96)?

I know this is a repeat, but i'm dishing out $600 and want to make sure I get the correct one.

    Thanks,
    Todd

Any OBD1 m50/s50 harness will work but if you use a m50 harness you just won't have oil temp. Anyone else know more?

$600 for a harness or whole OBD1 swap?

Brand new from dealer, and yes just the harness.

No! Lol, save that $600 and buy a used one, ebay. Use the $500 you'll have left over and mod the motor or use for something else.

I'll see if I can find one. Just worried that after we install motor that some wire within the harness was stretch and non functional. that would be a nightmare

I have a guy up here parting one. I'll check with him on the harness.

Thanks, please ask what year and motor it came from.

95 M3. I e-mailed him about it. I'll let you know what happens if you need it. I may be buying his seats at the same time.

Guys, I don't wat to sound incompetent but im a little new to this obd/vanos/ecu... stuff. The last time I worked on a car was in the early eighties. :?

From my understanding, my motor has been upgraded a little. Intake has been converted to OBDI, stage II cam kit, shorty headers, fan delete, and pullies. (btw, will the shorty headers fit?). :?:

I do have the ECU that came with the motor, but need to find out if that is OBD I or II.

I'm guessing, any e36 OBDI wiring harness will do? :?:
