    M50 throttle body question

I pulled one off of a 95 525i(e34) and it is bent at a 45 degree angle and that is how it is supposed to be, saw an e36 with an m50 that has a smaller throttle body that was shorter and did not have the bend. Will the e34 one work? Also do I need the alternator and p/s pump off of the m50? Right now I have a bare m50 and the junkyard has a full one to yank parts off of, already pulled the injector rail, intake, wiring harness, and a few other things, will try to get the oilpan. Any help here is perfect.

There are two butterfly(?) doors on it, one is obviously the throttle but the other one is further away from the engine side and appears to be computer controlled.

Yup, that secondary throttle butterfly is for the traction control. Blocks airflow and not needed. Delete it. And yes you will need the alternator. P/S pump is optional. I'm not using it. Tough to parallel park, but steering feels great once you get moving. I'd also replace the water pump and t-stat housing as preventative maintenance while you have easy access.

Thanks for the info! So I can use that throttle body but I should just not plug that part in? Or should I try to take it out all together(edit, or are they separate units? I would go look but I am not at home :( ). No need for parallel parking so I may just leave the p/s out, That is not on a separate belt correct? So I would need to use a different belt.

Interesting side note, the traction control part unbolts and leaves the normal part of the throttle body
