    M50 header Question

Wondering which ones will work, looking at these two right now. The longer ones are 1.75" though..

Well I'm fixing mine up as I did it up temporarily. I ran the headers to a y pipe then to a magnaflow cat out to a borla Xr-1 and it was loud and raspy, sounded awesome, just needed another resonator to cut down the rasp. Now I'm going with the same setup except at the end adding a vibrant 2.5" muffler after the xr-1

I also have the top headers (long tube). Bear in mind you can find them cheaper than $104 shipped, I have seen them as low as about $75 if you check around.

My system is simple, headers into stock E30 cat, into stock E30 system. cheap, simple and effective.
I saved 15% on my Bimmer parts by switching to ...

either of those three are identical to the first set of headers shown by the OP. I actually own a set of the ones in the first link.

My exhaust cost about the same. Ebay headers to modified stock midsection and cat (cut off downpipes after the bends, use slip couplers to attach to headers) and stock catback.
