I know this a e30 only forum but i have a question. My friend just got a e36 with a m50 TU in it and i want to know what check and change to a proper maintenance. I have heard of some oil pump nut going lose idk exactly. Thanks in advance... Btw i do have an e30.

- look for valve cover gasket leak
- new spark plugs
- check air and water hoses for cracks
- change the oil/filter
- check air filter
- option if you're bored: clean throttle body
- optional messy job: replace coolant

Thanks a lot for your info. I will get into that, i miss to say that my dad laso have a e36 vert with the same engine. Men how do I wich to have money to do a m50 swap in my e30, that engine is awsome even stock. Just for that power plant i will consider sell my e30 to buy one e36 coupe.Comment
