making m50 conversion harness

I have some questions, today i when to the jy n cut out the x20 connector of a e30(325is) and a c101 out of a 95 e34(525i) that has the m50 in it. Now my questions are. Is the any difference between the 325i & 325e x20 connector? Cause the m50 is going into my daily (325e) and also my other question is if i Got the right c101 connector, it was right beside the fuse box in the e34 and it has pin holes in it NO PINS COMING OUT(little metal studs) i will post pictures later. Internet is down n I'm doing this from my phone
