Porsche 944. I put an ad looking for one on Craigslist and had a response in under a week, paid $30 for it. Super-simple modification, too. Cut the pushrod off, and weld on a metric bolt with the correct thread pitch. Same booster power as a stock E30 booster, in a smaller diameter without the double-thickness of the iX.
You find guys with a bunch of old P-car parts gathering dust in the garage, they can't wait to get rid of them.Comment

Not doubting you, but how does the 944 booster have the same assist if it is dimensionally smaller? That typically means less assist, which is the issue I've been having with the E21 booster. I may try another master before I completely condemn the E21 booster but since I got the swap finished I have been less than impressed with the brakes.

Drew, they just suck, condemn the e21 booster and banish it to the supeior options. I am getting really close to hunting down another A4 booster. Not doubting you, but how does the 944 booster have the same assist if it is dimensionally smaller? This time I TRIED to go Audi but the dude lost the part, So I bought a 7 er booster than cross ref's to the 325ix. I left spacer on and swapped the clevis out with the ix one and bolted it in. It LOOKED like with a remote res it was gonna play nice but I think these Revshift mounts are far too tall and it's causing the intake to not clear the booster (m50 mani). Now I lift the driver side and it fits. So I ordered some new mounts from MarkertMW they said they shipped yesterday. Funny thing is these headers have a LOT of clearance and I think that's why the boosters not right. I will put the square and level on the trans and see what the angle is with the rev mounts and the e28 trap's, and report. Goal is to find the correct angle to allow header clearance, booster clearance, and optimum operating angle.:nice:Originally posted by 325Projectzdon't listen to the diagram... listen to mr. swiss.Comment
