Hello again R3V,I must say you guys are the best swap forum and most knowledgeable bunch of guys that I know of. And on to the question, I have a 91 E30M3 with S52 swap. I had the temperature gauge working properly now all of a sudden it doesn't go past the quarter mark. I changed the thermostat thinking the thermostat got stuck open but no change. What other ideas do you guys recommend or areas to look at? Again thank you in advance for whatever help you can provide. I tried the search function but was unable to find anything. P.S. the heat gets hot but its not as hot as it normally should be. Thanks

Could be an indication problem or you could be over cooling. For the first one I would suspect corrosion on the temp sensor connector, a bad sensor or a problem in the cluster, basically high resistance in the circuit equals a lower reading. As for over cooling I would suspect a stuck open thermostat.

HMMMMM I actually changed both the thermostat and the sensor I understand basic mechanics but this one stumped me I bled the shit out of my coolant system with same results I'm getting heat at idle then when I get to higher speeds 45+mph it starts blowing cold air any thing else that I'm missing/forgetting to check..thanx for the responses guys keep em coming... I get a little nervous because just last week I dynoed 596whp and I don't wanna fuck anything up lol BTW I'm boosted s52sigpicBEST OF BOTH BOOSTED WORLDS

Are your hoses hot? Both upper and lower? Hot being you can't hold them for a good amount of time.I got a fender roller now! LMK if you need me to roll your fenders or want to rent the tool from me locally.
