The Castros intake box really nice, but it is fucking HUGE. Takes up that entire corner of the engine bay.Leave a comment:

As long as mine is ducted to outsiade air the IAT's will not reach above ambient air. I have my ver.4 intake kit out not which looks nicer than the older models. Total weight is under 2 lbs!Leave a comment:

we've done about 10 of these and waiting for more, love them. Not only does it clean up the bay but really makes diff in the intake.
Wish he could make more/faster.Leave a comment:

Wow, that's awesome! Good to know.I have a Castro box with my S50 swap and 3.5" setup. I recently setup a temp sensor in the airbox to monitor temp changes.
At this point I have seen temp differences up to 25 degrees between the box and the engine bay.
So far for me, the C-box has been effective for form and function.Leave a comment:

Castro's air box v. KAMOTORS intake?
Had the kamotors intake on my old e30. Looke cool, really liked it.
But I am trying to really cleanup my engine bay with the m50. Really like the castors air box, but am trying to figure out if it is really worth the extra 100+ over the kamotors intake?
Money aside, which is better? Which will yield cooler air temp AND performance?
Thankyou.
