    HELP: M50TU Won't Idle and Won't Run

    Hello R3V, I am in need of some help tonight. Let's start with a brief back story:
    My M50TU swap was completed about a week ago. It's been great, I haven't had any issues. Today, I drove to my uncle's house for the Patriot's game and all was well. The car drove great, pulled strong, no sign of anything wrong. I parked the car on the street, watched the game, and when I went to leave, the car started, revs were going up and down between about 500 and 1000 and then the car died. I tried restarting it and the same thing. I tried restarting and holding the throttle body open and it stayed at 2000, but it sounded like it was misfiring and it didn't sound happy. When I tried hitting the gas there was a lot of hesitation and misfiring. I left the car there and I will be heading back over there tomorrow morning either to fix the problem and drive it home, or if I can't fix it, have it towed home. I'm posting to ask for some tips or advice as to what my problem might be and what I should check. I've done some checking and here's what my game plan is (in this order);
    1) Replace MAF with known good one
    2) Ohm Cam sensor
    3) Replace coils with known good ones
    4) Replace fuel rail with known good FPR
    5) Replace ICV
    That's as far as I think I'm going to go in the street in front of my Uncle's house, and if none of those fix my problem, I'll just have it towed home and continue with my search for a problem at home.

    Again, I'm looking for any and all suggestions as to what could cause the problem above and any advice on what to check / replace tomorrow morning. Also, if anyone has any advice or if you could tell me exactly how to Ohm the cam sensor, I would appreciate it. I can probably figure it out, but I'd appreciate some hints, tips, or a DIY guide would be great.

    Thanks in advance!

      From what you've described I'd say its either MAF or crank sensor. Less likely to to be cam sensor.
