    LTW flywheel M20 Starter

Anyone has an explanation on why you should use a M20 starter when you install a LTW flywheel.

I am about install LTW flywheel in an s50 and all my readings indicate I should be using a M20 starter instead of the current starter.

    Thanks

          flywheel

This is dependent on the flywheel - the ring gear in the starter has different sized/a different number of teeth between the m20 and the m50/s50 starter.

So whichever flywheel you're using, you need to use the same generation starter. And whichever flywheel you're using will determine the rest of the clutch components, which is all derived from which transmission it is.

Just to add a little supplementary "understanding" info...
