    Quick knock sensor OBD2 question (pic included)

    Alright guys.

    Putting my M52 back together but I forgot to take note of which knock sensor goes where.



    Which lead goes to the back of the block closer to the firewall and which one is near the front?

    EDIT: Or does it not matter?

          That's for an N52 not M52 FYI.

              No u right, I clicked the link at the bottom and the 3rd option took me to N52 tq specs. Figured the TIS was about the N52 when it just details tq spec for various engines, even mini.

                Those are the two - 2 pin connectors which are OBD1 knock sensors.
                Past Car : E30 S50 6 Speed 5 Lug 3.73
                Current : Z3 S50 OBD2 (Smog Legal) 6 Speed BBS RN Dual Ear Diff
