    m50 head removal

so i have all 14 bolts plus the 3 small torx bolts in the middle removed. im 120% sure i have everything removed, and after banging on the head with a rubber mallet and got desperate and tried prying it off the block it failed. is there somthing im missing or is it always this hard to get the head off of a m50tu?
i got a full tank in the e30 and a whole lot of road to tear up with it.

That sounds about right. Im pretty sure its just the head bolts and those small inverted torx bolts holding the head on there. I also had a pretty hard time pulling the head off of my s50 when I was doing the head gasket too.

There's a tiny 10mm holding the harness to it right under intake.

You got 14 head bolts laying out? and a long, meduim, and short E8 torx screws from the lower giude and corners.
