    What slave with G240 trans?

As title says, what slave do I use? I was running one from a G260 but it blew out since it extended too much so it's obviously too short, and the clutch was engaging (before the slave blew) right from the floor which also tells me its too short. Any clue?

Use a slave from an M42 car.

apparently according to realOEM, the part numbers of the M42 clutch slave from an 04/1991 318is matches the same part number of a 89 325i clutch slave. eeeeeek..what do?
The one out of a 93 318ti (the car i got this 240 from) is a diffrent part number.
but wouldn't the M42 E30 and the M42 318ti have the same clutch slave part number? Hmmhmmm...

If I pull out the trans to reveal the clutch fork, what will I have to look at in terms of allignment?

Looks like the E30 slaves are the same. If it's an E30 tranny, use and E30 slave. If it's an E36 tanny, use an E36 slave.
