couple quick questions, mostly about pulleys

It's hard coming at this without being able to properly form the question, but is there a way to get some sort of tensioner instead of the deflection pulley?

I deleted power steering and A/C in my build, but I also wanted to get some sort of tensioner installed to get rid of the deflection pulley that's currently installed (maybe incorrectly? It goes up and down the shaft it's mounted to pretty freely)

But I'm not really sure what part I can replace it with from here:

I saw this photo in some thread or another, and want exactly this, what's involved? What parts do I need?

looks like stock setup to me, just with the right size belt to run power steering delete.

Goolge what belt you need, should pop up.

it's a 56.1" belt, lots of cars use one - I'm not worried about that, it's the *little* bracket behind the altenator? I don't think I have that part but I'm not sure if I need anything else - I already have the altenator and filter cartridge bracket but I don't see where to mount that idler pulley... anybody know the part number for that bracket?

I'm pretty sure it just mounts to the oil filter housing? I'm not by my car so I can't remember : /.

I hear ya, my car is 20-25mi from where I live, all I have to go by is my memory and pictures... and the more I look, the more I'm certain I'm missing a bracket that either mounts in front of the oil filter cartridge bracket or to the bracket itself to mount the alternator compared to the above pic... here's a picture of mine (click for larger):

I wouldn't begin to even be able to figure out what I'm missing though, I don't see anywhere for the top alternator bolt to... bolt to

Oh dude, you already have the tensioner mounted lol. You have the hydronic version, thats why it looks differnt than what you want.

I'm not sure when the change over happened, but there's a hydrolic version and a none. I went with the none hydrolic for simplicity. If you want the set up you pictured remove the one you have pictured plus the roller that's mounted above it and replace it with the non hydrolic one. I think they're like 70 bucks for a new one.

Edit: the top alternator bolt is that one with the roller mounted on the end. you have it semi mounted in the picture.

The Hydraulic Tensioner is much better than the Mechanical tensioner. I've never heard of a failure of the actual tensioner...only the bearings in the pulley. Keep it, for it will never give you any problems :)

Looks like a good way to crank out some extra WHP!

Also an option. In this case just replace the bearing, remove the roller on the top bolt and run the shorter belt and you're done.
