Someone Sell me a 24v swap Getrag 260 brace.

I have seen a few posts about guys fabbing and selling these things. The posts are from like 2008 or older. I have PM'd them but have not gotten a reply.

I have a 92 Non-VANOS M50 going in a 1987 E30 325. I am using the stock 5-speed Getrag 260 for the swap. I don't own a welder and my buddy who could fabricate this, is terribly hard to get a hold of.

I am willing to pay for one if someone has one to sell. Please PM me with a price, and please include shipping to 97401 in your price.

    Thanks!

(Yes I searched the For-Sale forum).

I PM'd him last week. He never responded. I tried to seek him out on e30tech.com as well but I do not have permission to send PM's over there I guess.

Or you can make one with a hammer, a vise, and a drill. Well, and some metal stock.

              What he said,

Took about an hour of my time, a welder, some 3/16 steel stock, a drill, and a (power) hacksaw

I take some scrap metal, angle grinder, welder, and get it done in 15 minutes.

The welder is good, but optional.

The hour included measure and design time as well. Fab time was about 20 minutes with a recalcitrant oxy acetylene rig (bad o2 regulator)

So not sure if anyone has noticed... But I am attempting to do this swap with only hand tools. I don't own anything cool. No welder, no air, I only have 2 power tools... a sawzall and a cordless drill. The best tools in my chest are a set of metric gear wrenches. Other than that... Any additional tools I have had to borrow from friends.

I ordered a tranny brace from White325is. He said it would get shipped early in the week.

You won't regret it. I just bolted mine up - and it's great. Fit is perfect.
