In the middle of my swap... Seeking the knowledge of R3vlimited

    1. This wire is for the fuel pump (Green/Violet). There is no terminal on the starter small enought to bolt this on. What do I do?

    2. This wire is for the starter (Black/Yellow). Once again there is no post on the starter small enough for this to connect to.

    3. These two 3-pin plugs go down to the G260 transmission. There is nothing in the E36 harness to plug these into. Are these to be ignored?

    4. Which way does the arrow on the ISV face? Towards the manifold?

    5. What are these two prongs for? Do I need these any longer?

Any response to these questions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much R3vlimited!

    Remove the G260 sensors
What starter are you using? If youre using a early model starter you wont have a terminal for the smaller ring land, you will have one for the larger one no matter one.
Forget the temp sensor on firewall.
ICV arrow is for airflow direction

I am using the starter that came in the 1987 325. Does that mean I need to get a newer style starter?

And just a sanity check... Both the black/yellow and green/violet do need to be connected to the starter? Only reason I ask is that I have read people talking about wiring the fuel pump to the relay? I may just be confusing myself.

So I just had a thought... If I can find a means to secure these two wires to the large post (some how make an adapter) It would work yeah? Or is the solenoid on the newer starters have a smaller post that is a different voltage rating or something that is required?

Thank you so much for replying!

You might have an early model starter, which is huge. You need a late model 88+ smaller one
