    DSSR for 24V/G260 swappers!

I've contacted Rob at UUC about a twisted "24V swap" DSSR. He informed me that it should be a piece of cake as long as I can get him dimensions and twist angle.

So, anyone have the exact angle of extra twist that a G260 sits on a 24V motor?

Also it'd be nice to get a group buy going, so now's the time to show how much interest there would be in something like this (although I have no idea if UUC will do a GB, just a thought).

I am not 100% on this, but through my hours of research I have concluded that it is between 10 and 12 degrees.

That's been my impression as well. However I need to give him an exact number since it'll obviously be machined, and it'd be nice to be right on the money.

Anyone who would be interested in a GB of these please post in here to let me know. I figured we'd have quite a few people since I got a few PMs after I mentioned it awhile ago, but I can't know for sure until I get some feedback.

There is no definitive number, the twist is 10* but it also depends on the trans brace you used and many people do custom braces like myself.

Great point. Amount of twist will depend on engine mount shimming, trance brace, mounts used, etc.

So, pricing would basically be normal DSSR pricing (likely $129+shipping but possibly more). If we could get 25 people together and paid at the same time it would get a 10% discount and the shipping would be on them. So if it were $129, it would go down to $116 shipped. Still floating anyone's boat? Think we could get 25 people in on this or is this a pipe dream?

                  11.0 +/- 1 degree would be a reasonable tolerance.

Yeah, I am thinking either 10 or 11 degrees. I doubt the degree or two variation would be noticeable.

Is anyone else down for one of these or is there really small interest? Seems like there should be a decent market for them.

yup. Also depends on where you like the shifter to sit. But the shift carrier shouldnt effect the actually shifter, thats the selector shaft's job

I want one. I need to replace my selector rod anyway because mine has a bend in it.

The only way i can see this working is if there's an adjustable amount of twist.

I don't think having it be adjustable would be necessary at all. The exact number of degrees my vary slightly by people's set ups but I think having it a degree or so off is a huge improvement and definitely worth the money. I've been considering a uuc dssr anyway just to get rid of the slop, I'd be all over it if it was twisted as well.
