It's on here, search M20 swap and you will find it.

I've searched and found very little on the 318i connector that comes out of the fuse box. the connector i have only has 8 wires, the one one on early m20 cars have many more.

ok i have figured out most of my wiring from AKG Motorsports wiring charts. but what i cant figure out from those charts is the fuel pump from the c101 to the x20. which pin should i go to one the x20? also Pin 17 on the c101 where should that go on the x20?

Ok, just so I understand correctly, I pretty much get the pin-out of the x20/c101 (round) and swap the corresponding rectangular c101 in place of the round c101 ones (from the link Mr. Swiss posted of Hick's 'diagram')?

Could, or you could just pin it out yourself ie: pin #4 goes from pin #4 on rectangular c101 to #4 on the round C101 and goes to the #12 on the X20= coolant temp sensor.

ok so all the wires in the c101 are connected, now i've heard that there are some wires under the glove box that will also need to be conected to the x20. is that correct?

Now I have no idea what you are talking about because I'm not swapping my engine. But I have a feeling that nobody else will have an idea of what you are talking about because, well, just read what you just wrote

Is the cable red or brown? You can peel the heat shrink back a bit to tell. If it is red, hook it up to the power. If it is brown, ground it somewhere clean.
