Huh?
No.
M20 Spider will bypass the throttle body heating, but has no effect on the operation of the heater core.
M50 Spider has provisions for the throttle body heater, which many people on the forum bypass anyhow (if they don't live in extremely cold climates).
M20 Heater hose fits well form the back of the head to the heater core, since it incorporates a 90 degree bend.
M50 heater hose does not fit well from the back of the head to the heater core, as it only has a ~45 degree bend.Current:

use a hose that is the correct inside diameter and long enough to reach the desired location. Look at part diagrams on realoem or look for pictures on here or even google. its not difficult. i used m50 spider.Comment

Im not running m42 rad though. look at the swap picture thread. you will see plenty of m42 rad setups, look at the coolant hoses. might not be direct fit, you may need to trim here and thereComment

well damn ill just try both hoses and return the one that dont work or might have to suck it up and get an m20 rad cause i know for certain what the setup with it is." I'm not racing, I'm driving asshole"
