I have a 91' vert that I am planning on doing a swap into. Im down to 2 choices 1. S52B32 2. S54. What is the "easier" way to go? and is there any where I can locate a general list of parts that are needed for the swap? Thanks for any help.

Both are easy. The S54 will just end up costing $10-15k and be a pain in the ass for brakes. ($6k for engine, $3k for software/harness mod to delete EWS, plus everything else.) You can do a complete S52 swap for less than $5k.
As for a list of parts, you could poke around in this forum. Everything you need is readily available if you do a bit of browsing and searching. Like, a lot of it. Not to be mean, but if you don't know that an S54 is meaningfully different swap wise, you haven't done ANY research.2006 GMC Sierra 2500HD 4WD LBZ/Allison

Thanks for the info so far. I wasnt saying that they were the same swap in terms of skill level or price, was just looking down the road into the swap what would be the "easier" road to go? I had an E46 Dinan S2 M3 had loved the power and torque, was going to sell my vert but then said hey why not go nuts and give my friends 1Mcoupe a run lol

From my experience there is way more info and resources for help on an s50/s52 swaps. s54 are definitely getting more popular though
Best thing about doing an s52/s50 swap is the majority of the parts can be found at local junk yards for real cheap. Just search and search until you think you have a good grasp on what needs to be accomplished and then double that and search some more.1989 E30 Zinnoberrot Vert 325i OBD1 S52 turbo;IP
