    Was M50 vanos w/ red 413

    But she blew up.

So, if I put a M50 NV in, I think Ii will need a green label 405 or a 402?

What about my existing harness - can I use it?

Also, is putting S50 cams in in the NV M50 going to complicate matters with respect to the 405 or 402?

    Any help would be appreciated.

You cant run s50 cams in a NV m50. you can run two NV intake cams for a little more power if you want. You need a 402, 403, or 405 DME. They will all be the same.

I believe you need a NV harness, but I am not sure.

      Thanks.

Interesting on the cams - when you say a little more power, would you say negligible, or noticeable?

The intake and exhaust cams have the same duration if I remember correcly, however the intake cam has 11.5 lift vs 11 for the exhaust.

You can run two intake cams, and make a little mroe power maybe ~10hp crank, or you can put the intake into exhaust and get the schrick intake cam. Then you probably need a tune to get the most out of it. I run both stock cams and am quite happy with the power in my e30.

Guys learn to use google. Some useful info here:'

You apparently need to grind the new exhaust (actually the second intake) cam down to fit.

It's really not worth the cost or trouble to bother with cams on a M50 NV. Enjoy as is or prep for a vanos engine swap.

Don't forget that the 60-2 wheel and crank sensor are different on NV so they would need to be swapped too.

Whats the difference between the NV and V crank pulley? The PNs are different but whats the real difference?
