    Temperature gauge

What does the temerature gauge supposed to show?
When my car is in traffic it is a little past (to the right of) the middle line.
When my car is on the highway it is a two thirds of the way from middle line to the line to the left of it.
Is it overheating in traffic, overcooling on the highway or the way it should be?

    Thanks,
    Avner.

Do you have a fan set up?

I've installed an additional electric fan. I connected the high speed side of the aux fan in paralal with the new fan. I can adjust the temperature the fans activate to whatever I want, but I'm not sure what running temperature to aim for.

I usually run one to two needle widths to the right of the 1/4 mark. At a red light or waiting in drive thru it can get as hot as the 1/2 way mark. I have the stock clutch fan and my car has a/c so the auxilliary fan in front of the radiator also.
