Stomp Test and early E30 wiring

I went to do the stomp test on my '86 325 S50 and found that it does not work.

Going through the wire harness adapter, most people have the E30 C101 pin 12 (BRN/BLK) connected to the E36 X20 pin 8 (GRY). I've found that my car does not have a wire/pin 12 in the harness.

So I ran to Radio Shack and bought a 12V LED and wired it up like so.
Still, I've stomped it 100 times and it will not work. I tested my TPS and it's good. Any thoughts?

      mmmmm...yeah, that makes sense.

On a plus note, my peake code reader is magically working again!

Lambda #1...that's going to be awesome trying to find that problem
Vanos solenoid...ordering a new one now
Evap purge valve...not installed, could this trigger the Lambda #1 code?
