interesting topic for sure. yes, you can clear a dual sump s54 pan by moving the motor back. but you still need to deal with the sway bar.

here is an s54 slid 4" back. (i find 7-1/2" a bit tough to swallow.) there are more implications past the magical 4" dimension. cheers, jason
