power steering pump

Can you use an M50 power steering pump on an M52? Never had power steering and i'm thinking about putting it back.

Im in the same boat... bought the pump and realized it doesnt fit... been driving sans PS since July.

damn that sucks. than what power steering lines do you have to use for the m52 ps pump?

When my S50 pump crapped out the first time i just about put in a new pump, but before i did i had a look at my old M42 pump and it was exactly the same pump. It just had different brackets. So i switched the brackets installed it and had a quiet pump again. So i would have a closer look and see if you can just swap the brackets around.

It doesn't? i could have sworn the LUK pump I pulled from a '94 325 fit the bracket for my s52 when I test fitted it the other day. the engines in pieces at the moment while I replace some gaskets but will let you know when i get it back together if I was just dreaming.

yeah my luk PS pump fit up fine, I just used the bracket from the m50
