    Fuel Pressure Regulator

I have an older style Fuel pressure regulator with the regulator on the fuel rail, I would like to use it in my S52 OBD2 swap, any issues with not hooking up the FPR plug on the engine harness. Will I get a cel or a no start without a fuel pressure signal to the computer.

you will def get a CEL if you use the M50 fuel rail and leave out the S52 FRP located near the fuel filter.

Thanks that what I thought, any running issues? Maybe I can get Markert or one of the other tuners to program out the light.

Not sure about running issues as i am not familiar with that setup but one of the other guys on here might know, maybe even Dave Markert as he has done a few OBD2 swaps. He can get that CEL deleted for ya too.

Why do you want to run the old fuel rail with an OBD2 swap anyways?

Thanks Mamouth for the responses, I'd like to run old style fuel rail only because thats what I have on hand and it seems simpler to install. Dave did a fantastic job on my harness so I'll just get back with him on deleting the fpr cel light.

I thought the FPR rating of the OBD2 FPR and the OBD1 was different also.

You wont be able to delete that light.

I think both are 3.5 bar, but I could be wrong, I'm just going to do it the right way and find a 96 on pressure regulator. I've got 2 e36 w/pressure regulators on them if any one needsone or wants to trade for a later model one.

              Thanks,

              Seth
