I would suggest the Bentley Manual. It's the name of it, not a manual for a Bentley. It is far superior to the Haynes or Chilton manuals. I suggest buying a paper copy, and downloading the .pdf file of it you can find here by using the search function.

Most reliable and best bang for the buck -- 24v swap
If you have to turbo something -- 24v swap w/ turbo
More complicated and possibly less reliable -- anything with a turbo

Yes i agree, I'm going to hold off on the turbo for now.
